TED WEHKING
|
|
|
The Chairman of the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee since inception, Ted Wehking is a retired banker by trade and an avid big game and waterfowl hunter. Long active in local hunting organizations, he pursues big game in Nevada and elsewhere. Ted’s outstanding organization skills and leadership abilities have contributed immeasurably to the quality reflected in the five editions of the record book to date.

JOHN CAPURRO
|
|
|
John Capurro is a member of a pioneer Nevada family whose roots in hunting date back to the 1860’s. He fondly remembers early hunting trips with his father and four brothers. He is the secretary of the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee. John also served on the Board of Directors for Nevada Bighorn Unlimited, Reno. John retired from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, having worked for the agency for thirty-three years.

TOM CAVIN
|
|
|
Tom Cavin is a hunter, sportsman and conservationist who was one of the initial sponsors of the project which ultimately became the Nevada Wildlife Record Book. Tom is an accomplished cabinet maker by trade, and his entire family is involved with conservation activities and public service. He acts as Treasurer of the Committee and has been an official Boone and Crockett Club scorer since 1977.

SAN STIVER
|
|
|
San retired from the Nevada Department of Wildlife after a thirty-year career working on various species of game. San has expanded his home range, working across the West on Sage-Grouse conservation for the states and provinces that still have grouse. When he isn’t working on Sage-Grouse he is maintaining the Record Book records, hunting and fishing. San is an official Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young measurer. He now resides with his wife in Prescott, Arizona.

TOM LAMMEL
|
|
|
Tom Lammel is a lifelong resident of Fallon, Nevada and has been an avid hunter and sportsman since childhood. Tom has been a member of the Committee since its inception and travels 130 miles round trip to attend Committee meetings. He is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife, the protection of hunting as a conservation tool and the protection of firearms ownership. Tom has the ability to dedicate time to the program and has helped with the 2000 and 2005 Awards Programs.

VICTOR CLARK
|
|
|
Victor Clark, an avid hunter and conservationist, is a retired firefighter for the City of Reno. He has served on the Board of Directors of Nevada Bighorns Unlimited – Reno Chapter. Victor is also an official measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club, a master and a certified measurer for SCI, official measurer for the Pope and Young Club and an official measurer for the Long Hunter Society.

GERALD LENT

Gerald Lent is a Reno Optometrist and has been in practice for over 25 years, and graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno with a B.S. degree in biology. He has been an avid sportsman and outdoor enthusiast throughout his lifetime. Gerald is an active big game hunter throughout North America and holds a Grand Slam Award for North American wild sheep. He is a member of the Safari Club International as well as the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep and continues to serve as the President and founder of the Nevada Hunters Association. Gerald has been actively involved in many wildlife functions and issues throughout the state for over 45 years and continues as one of the founding members of the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee.

TIM HUMES

|
Tim Humes is a Vice-President – Financial Consultant with RBC Dain Rauscher in and Reno. He is a fourth generation Nevadan, sportsman and conservationist. Tim is a passionate big game hunter and when not big game hunting, you will find him pursuing waterfowl and upland game birds with family and friends. He is an official measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club, the Pope and Young Club and the Long Hunter Society. Tim adds enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence for the records programs.
